I made A Slow Burlesque because I wanted to create a piece of theatre that is playful and euphoric. I wanted the chance to stretch myself across many different roles, embodying different characters, beings and energies. It’s a privilege to get to present the work with Silo, as a long time admirer of the way they, as a company, push boundaries of what New Zealand theatre is and can be. — Freya Silas Finch
